---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One of my broadcast heroes is about to embark upon his 60th year as play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Wow! Here's the story as reported by All Access: VIN SCULLY will be back for his
60th season broadcasting DODGERS baseball in 2009. SCULLY, 80, told
reporters SATURDAY that he is coming back under a one-year contract after
his wife SANDY gave her blessing. 2008 is the last season of a three-year
deal for SCULLY, who broadcasts home games and road contests on the WEST
COAST and from COLORADO and ARIZONA. STILL MORE NEWSRemember when socializing actually meant seeing, meeting and interacting with actual people?Not only have I caved in, but I have succumbed to virtual socializing. I'm guessing I'm on nearly all of the social networking sites now. Problem is, it's nearly impossible to keep up with all of them. Some are general networking and some are very specific to voiceover and acting. Let's see... here are the social networking sites upon which you'll find me (to date): Whew! There's a lot of good content on these sites but it takes real effort to keep up. I may even belong to more social networking sites. I'm not sure!
