My First Rebate Sting

I want everyone to beware of rebates offered at eCost.com. A year and a half ago, I purchased 2 Soyo LCD computer monitors, each with $50.00 manufacturer’s rebate offer. I have yet to collect my rebate. I contacted eCost several months ago concerning this rebate and was told, “That’s a manufacturer’s rebate-there’s nothing we can do”. I argued that Soyo was blatantly ignoring me and I wanted eCost to assist. No dice. Now, when I attempt to e-mail Soyo, my e-mail returns “undeliverable”.

Two weeks ago, I e-mailed eCost and demanded they become pro-active on my behalf.

NEVER RECEIVED ANY TYPE OF RESPONSE.

If I handled customer service this way, I’d never have any income.

This is really a shame, too. eCost was a great source of all types of gear and at good prices.

I informed eCost that I will no longer be doing business with them.
